Vietnamese Government P-165

Square Circle designed and delivered this intensive 11-week short course program in Public Administration for cohorts of Vietnamese government officials drawn from a range of departments, agencies and institutions in 2018 and 2019. These officials came from both provincial and national levels of government. The program focussed on cross-cutting issues of Governance, Sustainable Development, Global Political Economy and International Relations.

In addition to the academic components of the course, networks between the Vietnamese Government officials and bureaucrats, academics, and private sector representatives in Australia were intentionally built throughout the program. This focus on relationships served to strengthen ties between the two countries. Beyond the development of these international relationships and networks, the program also facilitated vibrant communities of practice within the cohort, transcending departmental and sectoral boundaries. These communities of practice have been maintained and put into effect to enable post-course institutional strengthening through collaboration on operational, policy, and planning matters.

Square Circle continues to maintain strong connection with the cohort and their institutions, including giving lectures on inclusive development and the 4th Industrial Revolution at the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences and analytical contributions for the Voice of Vietnam.

This was the best professional development program ever!
